FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. HOW MUCH IS THE DOWN PAYMENT?

A. An initial rental payment is typically equal to two months’ rent and is required for delivery and setup of the structure.

Q. CAN I MAKE EXTRA PAYMENTS TOWARD THE PRINCIPAL?

A. Since this is a true rent-to-own agreement and not an installment sale, there is no principal balance. However, if your account is current, you may call in to pay towards your deposit account which can help lower your early purchase option.

Q. WHEN IS MY FIRST PAYMENT DUE?

A. Your first rental payment is due approximately 30 days after delivery. You will receive a monthly invoice about two and a half weeks before each payment is due.

Q. WILL I RECEIVE A PAYMENT BOOK?

A. No, instead of a payment book, you will receive a monthly invoice, which includes the updated early purchase option.

Q. HOW CAN I ACQUIRE OWNERSHIP FOR THE LOWEST PRICE?

A. Always make your monthly payment on time and monitor the "Early Purchase Option" amount on your invoice. When you’re ready, call us when you can pay that amount in full. Once processed, we will issue you a transfer of ownership document.

Q. CAN I ADD IMPROVEMENTS TO THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF THE STRUCTURE?

A. Contact Signature Rentals, LLC, before making any changes to our property. Unauthorized changes may void the warranty and/or contract.

Q. CAN I PAY THE EARLY PURCHASE AMOUNT IN MULTIPLE PAYMENTS?

A. No, the early purchase option amount must be paid in a single payment. Please call our office if you wish to use this option.

Q. WHAT IS THE INTEREST RATE ON MY PAYMENTS?

A. Our rent-to-own agreement has no interest rate. Each payment is considered 100% rent until you exercise your option to purchase. Otherwise, you are renting on a month-to-month basis.

Q. CAN I REFINANCE AND GET LOWER PAYMENTS?

A. Please call our office to discuss the options that may be available to you.

Q. WHY DOESN’T MY PAYOFF GO DOWN?

A. If your account is past due, any back rent due will be added to your early purchase option. Once your account is current, you will see your early purchase amount decrease accordingly.
